Dirty Apparel
Description
With the use of Canva, Inkscape, and Sublimation and DTF Printers I was able to take idea produced in my head for my Youtube channel and make it a reality.  I made this project with the hopes of understanding the process of how to design a graphic, then taking that said graphic and applying it to some t-shirts. I wanted to try to create some apparel that could kind of reflect my thought process and also entitle where I came from. This Project means so much to me because just the idea of taking something that I thought of and making it a reality is surreal and a step in the right direction.
This is the Image that I looked at when drawing my sketch in my book.
I first made this design in a sketch book I knew I wanted to use Oscar the Grouch from "Sesame Street" but I didn't know how I wanted him to look completely, so I just added my own spin to him because why not.
Canva has this AI engine on its database that allows you to describe what you want in a text box and then it generates the image based on that so this is what the design looks like after describing it to the AI.
After getting the image I adjusted it a bit and cropped some then added a slogan that really defines me. I've been told multiple times that I'm not normal so I decided to embrace it.
This is the design that was printed out of the DTF printer on the heat press about to be pressed on to the shirt after being meticulously placed.
The bottom was lost a little in the printer but this is the back of the shirt after being pressed on and cooled off.
This is the front of the shirt with my Youtube logo on it.
I had some extra time before the end of hackathon so I decided to make another design since I had extra shirts and all. I came with the slogan "Got It Out The Dirty" it's really a play on words with my Youtube name and to also show that I came from nothing and heading somewhere.
I was taking a liking to the blue coloring, but I decided to make The "Dirty" match more with the rest of the image so I made a color in the color wheel and then I added shadows and different edits to all the words to make them all pop.
What's a brand without its logo? I made the logo in Inkscape and then I uploaded it on canva and changed the color to better reflect the back design
This is the back of the shirt with the design fresh out of the sublimation printer before it hit the heat press.
This is the design on the back of the shirt after it got off the press and cooled off.

This is the front of the shirt with the logo. Notice that I made sure to change the size of the logo and the position of it on the shirt.
